DIY SOS 2025
02 — Community
Our team volunteered all week in Southampton as part of the DIY SOS TV programme, coming together to help transform a family’s home during a time when they needed it most. From day one, everyone showed up ready to graft, putting aside their usual roles to focus on one shared goal: making a real, positive difference.
Being involved in a project like DIY SOS reminded us why community matters. Working alongside other volunteers and trades, we were proud to play our part in something bigger than ourselves. Seeing the transformation come together and knowing the difference it would make for the family was genuinely rewarding, and something our team will carry with them long after the cameras stopped rolling.
03 — In the community
We support Abbeyfield social events all year. This includes popular gatherings like the annual community BBQ at Poplar Lodge. These events help bring residents together. They strengthen relationships and create a true sense of community. We are proud to be part of making them happen.
We will plant berry bushes to help small wildlife like birds and insects. This will create a better and healthier environment. We will choose plants and flowers from the RHS Perfect for Pollinators lists. This will help create spaces that support biodiversity, not just look nice.
04 — Giving back
RPL actively participates in charity events across the Isle of Wight, supporting organisations such as Wight Brainy Bunch alongside a range of other local community initiatives. These events are an important way for RPL to give back, strengthen community connections, and support causes that make a real difference to people and families across the Island.
RPL is a proud Bronze Patron of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce. This shows our commitment to the Island’s business community. This partnership helps support the Chamber’s work in championing local enterprises, encouraging collaboration, and promoting sustainable economic growth.
